I received these sandals at his baby shower and he is finally big enough to wear them now -- just in time for summer!
We picked up a potty chair for James. So far, he is getting used to sitting it in fully clothed. It's just as good as any other chair, right? :)
James has been doing really well with eating this week. Vegetables have been a struggle, and his tastes change from day to day. We've managed to disguise some spinach in the pasta sauce that went on his noodles. And tonight, he willingly asked for peas (he knows the word "pea" and can recognize them) and sweat potatoes (by grabbing them out of my hand). He's also getting better at using a spoon to eat. Mostly yogurt so far -- noodles are trickier to get onto a spoon. He's just amazing us with his capacity for language. He knows when we skip words in books or songs. He understands all sorts of commands. He'll pick up his stuffed puppy and start making "woof-woof" sounds. And he's making a good effort at pronouncing the name of the Twins' new Japanese second baseman :)
