fall is here

Most of September hasn't felt particularly fall-like until this week. Finally, after a month of 70 and 80 degree weather, we have some cold mornings and crisp, sunny afternoons. This evening, I was inspired to make a couple of my favorite fall treats: carrot cake and wild rice/cranberry-stuffed acorn squash.

While I look forward to fall every year, this year I have been especially looking forward to it. As of today, I officially have 1 month to go until my due date. We had our childbirth classes this past weekend, which provided a good chance to ask questions and get an idea of what is supposed to happen when we get to the hospital. Now I feel like we are "officially" ready to have this baby.... but hopefully not for a few more weeks, at least!
